The rusty swingsets sounded worse than ever before, and the screeching hurt Dean's ears. Why he was here was a puzzling question to him. Why would anyone come to this dump of playground toys from hell? He sucked on his cigarette a bit before blowing the smoke out and trying to make fun little swirly things. It didn't work. Dean put the cigarette back in his mouth and sat himself on one of the swings. Personally, Dean hated smoking. He coughed a lot and had use mouthwash twenty-four-seven.
But, it was all about image, and guys like Dean just smoked. It was one of those random clique things, although he was in no clique. There was a party tonight, at some random chick's house. Dean decided not to go, though. He was tired. Although it didn't fit with his 'image', Dean had to get a job at the garage so he could pay for the crappy house for his little sisters. He had to do a lot of providing for them, but it was worth it at the end of the day when he watched them smile in their sleep.
They had a home, and Dean had provided it. He actually loved that feeling.

Cam's little white Keds slip-ons had begun to turn brown with the dust. So much God damn dust in this stupid little town! She just couldn't stand it. She wore a pair of short dark denim shorts and a chocolate brown tank top with little light pink polka dots. Her maeup definitely did not fit into the Blue Heights groove of things. Nope, Cam was quickly becoming an oddity even though she still carried the personality of a goddess and the clothes of a queen.
She'd been walking town for a while. She'd begun to wonder where Beth was that afternoon. How the Hell had she made a real friend in thsi town? Beth wasn't like all the other people here though, no, she had a sparkle that Cam could only let be worthy of her friendship.
The park seemed lonely. There sure as hell weren't any kids around. Then, she spotted him. There, on a rusty swing, was Dean Somers himself. Oh, the sweetness of a boy she liked. Crushes weren't really Cam's style, but Dean was worth it. She strutted over and took the swing next to his. "Hey there good looking. Why the glum face?" She asked sweetly. Another thing just wasn't Cam. This town was bringing out the weird in her. She resented that more than anything.

Dean looked up as he saw Cam come and sit next to him, and he couldn't help but smile. Putting the cigarette out on the swing pole, he turned a bit to look at her. "Just thinkin', sexy lady." He laughed a bit a their tease flirting and looked back up at the sky. In a way, he hated Cam. He always had to smile when she was around and it really killed his image. "How are things holding up with Randolph?"
Dean teased one of his best buddies with satisfaction. If anything made Ran tick, it was being called by his full name. The semi-blonde rubbed his stubble and frowned. Maybe he should shave for once, like he used to. His thoughts drifted back to before Blue Heights, and before his delinquent days. Dean quickly tried to turn his thoughts away from that time and smiled at Cam.
"What brings you to this swingset anyway? I think there's a gold one down the road..." Dean knew that it was okay to tease Cam about that because they were very alike. They both used to live a richer lifestyle, even though Dean had been younger at his time. He glanced between her and the stars every once in a while. She was such a beautiful girl, it was surprising that she was even related to Ran in any way.
[Bad Dean! Haha.]

"You scowl when you think." Cam winked. Aw, sexy, the man has a way with words. Cam thought to herself laughingly. What the hell was it about Dean that just drove her wild?
"Ew, Ran. I guess things are just holding up. By very thin wires, but holding up, hey are." Se responed with a look of mild digust. Why was it that Ran annoyed her so much? It couldn't just be because of the different ways of living. No, it was because of the way a looked ather. She could only describe his expression as one of frustrated disgust.
"Oh, the fancy swingsets fled this town years ago. Hmph, you should talk Dean Somers. Pot meet kettle much? She smiled. Damn, Dean and she did not belong in this hell hole of a town. Cam's smile began to turn mischievous as she secretly devised an escape plan.
"So, what you say Dean, my dearest and most beautiful of friends? Skip town and find something better with me?" Cam teased. She knw Dean would never leave his little sisters, but she could alwayshope for something better than Blue Heights.

Dean smiled. He knew he scowled a lot, it was just his face. That was his trademark and he loved it. "I know when I scowl you think it's hot", he replied with a wink and a nudge.
"Hmm. Ran is a bit of a beyotch sometimes. But, you'll get used to him...someday." Dean knew that his best bud was a pain in the ass, and maybe that's why they got along so well. He knew that he was a pain, and everyone thought so. Did he care? No. He didn't really care much about what other people thought. It was the other way around.
"Hah. Thanks a bunch, Cam." He began to swing a bit, turning his attention away from the sky. The dirt flew up a bit under his worn shoes and he sneezed. Dean would never tell anyone about his hatred for the dust, he would never tell them that Blue Heights was only his home because of the girls.
When Cam talked about leaving, Dean perked up a bit. "Haha, I would definately go for that. Tap into my savings, and buy a nice house somwhere in Miami." That was Dean's dream. To get as far away from the dirt as possible. Maybe someday, someone like Cam would join him.

Cam smiled at him casually, "Miami, really? It's either Los Angeles or New Tork for me Baby. I've got to be where my fame will keep me healthy." Cam's tone was anything but joking now. She knew she'd leave. She also knew she'd be larger than life someday, way bigger than stupid Blue Heights. This town was a waste of her time and it felt guilty to admit it, but a little fling with Dean was a bit of a waste too. What could she say, Cam really was a bitch and she used people regularly. She'd never admit it though.
"And, any time Somers. Teasing you is what I live for." Cam looked his way flirtatiously now. She needed a sway in the mood here. She didn't like the whole, them talking about things which wouldn't go into effect any time soon thing. "So, Dean, when you gonna get the guts to come ask me out? I mean, you've got the most beautiful girl in Blue Heights on a swing next to you wearing a perfectly on top of the world outfit and wearing her confidence on her sleeves. I'm going to have to say that this is in fact your fleeting moment to sweep in with some sweet talking and better flirting..." Cam suggested playfully. She could be very full of herself, but hell, she was Cam and this was what she did. Almost anyone in Blue Heights had to expect it by now.
She was daring, Cam took chances. Some guys would be so thrown off by such a manipulative, challenging way of getting what she wanted, but Cam knew that everyone expected it from her. She knew she'd meet someone like Dean here. Someone hot, rebellious, ready to jump off cliffs with her and tlak about how pathetic the world was and then go make out in front of everyone. Cam was ready for all these little flaws to hit her in perfect unison.

He rolled his eyes. "I bet you could find fame in any place, miss Camilla." Dean was only speaking the truth. Cam had that superstar air to her- the superior voice that said 'im hotter than you'. And, for some reason, Dean found that so attractive. Maybe it was just how assertive and straightforward she was. Or maybe it was the expensive bright red lip gloss she wore that made Dean want to mash his lips up against hers. He stopped himself before his thoughts reached a perverted state.
He saw the look she gave her as she was joking around and felt as comfortable as ever. No matter how conceited he sounded, Dean was always going to be a hit with the ladies. He had the face. When she talked about asking her out, Dean smiled. Well, hell. Sorry I made you wait." He got up from the swing and looked down at Cam. Holding his hand out, Dean exhaled. Let's go for a walk girlfriend."
He didn't know if Cam was joking or not, but he wasn't the kind of guy to be formal. It would be just like kindergarten. He guessed that at this point, it just kind of happened. He'd go with the flow, anyway.

"Aw, so straight forward are we? Now, is that any way to ask the most gorgeous girl in Blue Heights for a walk" Cam was teasing for real now. She was more than thrilled to have Dean thinking she was his girlfriend. It brought a newfound sparkle to her eye that spoke more than any words really could. So, she slipped off her swing and put her hand in his. Then, Cam was suprised by something, it felt comfortable there. That's right, Cam Hughes' hand fit perfectly into Dean Somers'. Was there more than casual flirting on the rise? Maybe Dean really did want her to be his girlfriend...
"Well, if you really want me to be your girl. I might possibly have to consider that one." Cam taunted sweetly. Her eyes danced with drama and thrill. Half the fun was the drama after all. See, it had only been about a week earlier that Cam came into confrontation with a certain Bella Havstad. Havstad became an instant annoyance and as soon as Cam had heard that the girl was Dean's ex, she knew the games had to begin. Hopefully Dean wouldn't be hurt by any of her manipulative ploys, but a girl had to do what a girl had to do. And Cam's current goal was, take down Bella Havstad.
Cam had only heard a little bit about Havstad before. She knew the girl fancied herself one of those queen bee types, but wasn't coming from a very good background. No one came from a good background anymore though. Bella needed drama and Cam would throw it at her faster than she would ever be able to catch it.
Cam flashed back into the moment though. Manipulation wasn't everything. She needed to have some fun with her new boy. Dean was mischeivous, so was she. They could do more than date, they could create mayhem in Blue Heights. Cam was already thinking of all the parties they could throw, all of the prnaks they could pull, all of the drama they could stir. This was the start of something Blue Heights might never forget.

Dean laughed at Cam's reaction and squeezed her hand. "Sorry, I guess I'm not princely enough for you." He was almost ashamed of his cracked and dry hands compared to her smooth ones. Dean walked around the park, his brunette cutie in tow. The blonde boy finally stopped at the very edge of the park, where a cluster of trees were. There was a rusty black bench, and he led her to it. Hey, she wanted something official, he'd give it to her.
He sat her down gently on the bench and sat next to her. "I know you loved to be manhandled, so it's no problem, right?", he told her jokingly. Grabbing a hold of her hand again, Dean chuckled before talking again. "Camilla Hughes, will you be my offical girlfriend?" Dean couldn't believe that he said that. He wanted to joke about it, but at this point, he really couldn't. Did he actually want her?
Dean looked down at their intertwined hands and was a little scared. He never really loved anyone before- not even Bella. At least he hadn't thought so. The blonde boy smiled a tooth-ish grin before leaning back a bit. Maybe she liked him too? She sure hadn't pulled away when he took her hand. And, she was talking about going offical. Maybe it was for real.

Camilla Danielle Hughes stared him down. She knew that she was digging his own grave, but this was what girls like Cam lived for. It was time for Blue Heights to understand what true drama looked like. So, this was step one in really stirring things up in the Cam/Dean/Bella love triangle. Blue Heights wouldn't coem out the same.
"Well, since you're being so polite about it all... Sure Dean Somers. I'll be your girl. This might jsut be the start of something amazing." She placed dreadfully false promise in the air. How was it that Cam knew all the right words for the wrong relationships? It was like a game to her. She really was a horribly manipulative human being.
"So, how to seal the deal?" Cam murmered softly as she leaned forward and kissed Dean gently on the cheek. Nothing too serious, just enough to set things in stone. She wished that Bella Havstad would walk through that park at that very moment just so Cam could rub it in her face even more. Oh, how she loved ruining people she didn't like. Cam was a monster. A monster with the most beautiful ways anyone could ever witness.
